The project
Bio-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) can be used as a fuel for heavy vehicles with conventional diesel engines if mixed with ten percent conventional diesel.
Terracastus Technologies, a division of the company Volvo Technology Transfer, has together with the U.S. Acrion Technologies developed a process for purifying landfill or sewage gas. The process is based on a cryogenic cleaning of biogas with internally generated liquid CO2 and has been proven in a field study in cooperation with Mack Trucks.
The products from the process is clean bio-LNG and pure liquid CO2.
The assignment
To take the process from pilot scale to industrial scale, we have made a basic design and a calculation of the investment for to make a complete project implementation possible. COWI Management is responsible for project management and cost accounting in the project.
