The project
Design and engineering of a new plant for the production of insulin to Eli Lilly Co.. in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
The plant is about 20 000 m² and modular. Each module was fabricated and assembled in Sweden, complete with process-,supply- and control-systems. Some modules also included laboratories and office space. The modules were then shipped to Puerto Rico for the final installation and commissioning. The plant is the largest of its kind in the world.
