The project
ABB has together with the line builder handed over a turnkey automated production line, including fully equipped robots with function packages containing application equipment and software to a major car manufacturer.
The ABB scope of supply was to design, deliver and commission robots and application systems in the following phases.
Design phase, containing electrical and mechanical design, as well as software development for the robot and application systems.
Purchasing and expediting for the delivery of robots, material and other resources.
Assembly and installation of application system including a complete functionality test before delivery to the end customer site.
The commissioning of robots and application systems and functionality for the various types of applications. Applications such as spot weld, dispense system and material handling. Produce project documentation containing electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings, system description and operator instructions together with spare part lists and maintenance schedules.
The assignment
The responsibility of COWI Management has been project management, consisting in responsibility for planning, electrical and mechanical design, software development and to be responsible for project economy and resources.
