Project Planning
Successful project planning is based on good communication, a clear structure and an active project management.
Within COWI Management we work with time schedules that are structured (EPS, WBS, etc.), logic-based as well as allocated for time, costs and resources, which forms the basis for detailed network analysis. We use Primavera as a standard tool, but have also knowledge and experience from other planning tools.
The planning engineer's main job is to make a pedagogical picture to describe how project staff will work to achieve the set objectives. In the early phases of the project it is about developing a working structure with defined milestones, which ensures that the entire scope of work is included in the overall project schedule. During the project, the planning engineer's role is to provide the project with the necessary basis for decisions. We do this by updating the project schedule and make the additions and adjustments needed to achive the project objectives.
